The D.Y.Patil Medical College was established in 1989 on a sprawling campus admeasuring 5.5 acres of land. The total bunt up area of the budding is 11172.0 sq. ft. The cost of the building is Rs.180 million.
The hospital is catering to the needs of population of Western part of Maharashtra State, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts of Kokan and Some parts of Karnataka State. In effect the hospital serves a population of more than six million with a highly subsidized rates........
The Pravara Medical Trust is the parent Organisaiton of the University and was established in 1972 in a small village Loni of Ahmednagar District (Maharashtra State) by a visionary Padmashri Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil, the founder of Co-operative movement in India.
