Hans Raj College is a constituent college of University of Delhi and a premier imstitution of the DAV Managing Committee, the largest non-government educational organization of the country. After partition DAV Managing Committee decided to set up its institutions in India and the first to be set up was DAV College Ambala. Named after the 9th Sikh Guru Sri GURU TEGH BAHADUR KHALSA COLLEGE is a constituent of University of Delhi. It is a co-educational institution established in the year 1951 by Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee to instill ideals of self-sacrifice and service among the youth. It draws inspiration from the life of the Guru who laid down his life in Delhi to uphold freedom of belief and conscience and whose sacrifice and martyrdom for secular ideas are unique in the annals of our country.

The Guru Jambheshwar University Science & Technology, Hisar was established by an Act of Legislation of Haryana State on October 20th, 1995 to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education. It is named after Guru Jambheshwar, a saint, environmentalist of 15th century. The University has grown to its full size and stature within a short span of 8 years.
