The two year (four semesters) programme offered by the Faculty of Journalism and Communication comprises a balance of Theory and Practical Work. The Faculty follows a Credit system (indirect) of evaluation with 84 credits (21 credits per semester) programme.

A graduate under the 10+2+3 pattern in any discipline with minimum 50 percent marks in core/ major subject is eligible to apply for admission. There will be a 5 percent relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per Government of Gujarat rules.
