Should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of (10 +2) Curriculum (Academic Stream) prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as three of the four subjects of study under Part-III or any examination of any other University or authority accepted by the Syndicate of Anna University of Technology Chennai as equivalent thereto.

Kodaikanal Institute of Technology is having a very congenial Hostel atmosphere for boys which comprises of two different blocks. All the rooms in the hostels are self contained and well equipped with cupboard, cot mattresses, table and chair. Additional facilities like reading room, recreation room are also provided. 24 hour water and electric supply with generator back up is available. Internet facility is also provided round the clock through WIFI. Consulting physician visits the hostel as and when required. All Boys’ Hostels are equipped with necessary basic facilities to make the staying comfortable. All rooms in hostel are well ventilated, aerated with proper illumination. Each hostel has independent mess which is run by an authorized contract personnel where quality food is made available at reasonable rates to the students.
