Course Details
This programme equips students with the skills necessary to explore both academic and professional avenues. It provides an enabling environment for students to enter the world of work with confidence. The course is structured to include discipline and language courses along with Foundation and Application courses. Foundation courses are interdisciplinary courses designed to familiarize students with concepts and debates that relate to contemporary life. They seek to foster critical thinking and enhance knowledge and learning. These include courses on Gender, Human Rights and Environment, Language, Literature and Culture. The Application courses provide a stimulating interface between theory and practice. They develop a student's potential for skill- building and capacity enhancement. These courses are innovative and interactive in design and provide interesting contexts for field study and project work. The courses offered are varied and range from Creative Writing, Translation and Interpretation, Indian Art Appreciation, Theatre and Performance to Life Crisis - Coping and Evolving, Conflict Resolution and Peace Building and Computer Application. This programme enables students to develop their full potential and embark on an exciting journey of discovery and growth.

The LSR Residence Hall, located west of the main college building, is home to 300 bright and enthusiastic students. The residents from diverse backgrounds of various parts of the country and other foreign lands, give it an eclectic ethos that serves only to strengthen it. The Hostel is among the largest hostels in DU, offering the basic amenities to provide maximum opportunity for growth and self-empowerment.
The Residence Hall is the nucleus of a harmonious community environment. It has a longstanding tradition of celebrating multi-cultural and ethno-religious diversity. With its bright common room, beautiful lawn, visitor’s lounge and facilities for recreation, its welcoming living quarters and fine cuisine, the Residence Hall is a home away from home.
It seeks to continuously provide the students with modern amenities. Internet access is available for the exclusive use of the residents. The Residence Hall offers an extensive in-house library as well as medical facilities for the students. The Speakers’ Forum regularly invites distinguished personalities to interact with residents. Several in-house clubs keep the Residence Hall humming with activity round the year.
The College Cafe is located just outside the gate of the Residence Hall.
