The Institute has a full-fledged Placement & Training Cell headed by a senior army officer. It conducts regular training for students to improve their skills in facing interviews. Lectures and seminars by CEOs and senior executives of the industries too, are conducted on a regular basis. The placement record of the Institute is impressive. The college has a tie-up with Resonance Industry Alliance Program(RIAP). The goal of this programme is to enhance and enrich the career value for students by conducting courses like: Basic & Advanced Soft Skills, Project Management, Quality Engineering, Technology in Enterprise, Technology training, Industry grade project and Industry certification etc., to lower the cost of operations for IT companies and also to increase the value delivered to the end customers and so on.

The college has hostel facilities for both the boys (to accommodate 300 students) and girls (to accommodate 200 students) within the campus. The hostels have modern amenities like the solar system to provide the boarders with hot water, a library and a separate mess which provides North Indian and South Indian food. There is an on-campus medical centre and a MOU has been signed with a nearby hospital for medical treatment for students and faculty. Senior faculty members also frequently supervise this facility. NMIT ensures that the hostels are well-managed and meet the needs of its students.
