The Polytechnic has been functioning in its own buildings in the Central Institutes of Technology Campus at Adyar since June 1966. Besides Class rooms and Laboratories, the building houses the administrative office, a library, an open-air theatre, a Production Centre for the Department of Costume Designing and Dress Making and an Auditorium.
This polytechnic is a project polytechnic under CIICP for the past 10 years and the 70% of our staff members have been well trained and are exposed to strategic planning & other developmental activities. Also in the process of planning and implementing developmental activities of our institution, our focus is on Quality and Customer Satisfaction. The curriculum is need and competency based and revised periodically according to the needs of the industries. Hence the alumni of the Institution are well received by the employers and the institution has a fine reputation in the community too.
