MASCOM offers a full-time course in print journalism, leading to the award of Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism. The course is organised in three trimesters, each of 12 weeks duration. In addition, students will serve a three-week internship after the third trimester and undertake at least two field trips during the course.
Graduate Applicants to the course must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Students who have appeared in their final examination may also apply. However, they will have to furnish adequate proof of graduation for their admission to be regularised.
MASCOM students can be found in almost every reputed media organisation. In 2011, Reuters, Deccan Chronicle, The Week, The New Indian Express, The Telegraph and pagalguy.com conducted campus recruitment tests for MASCOM students. Nearly all students found placements.
