Course Details
India is an agri-based country. It has traveled a long way from starvation to surplus in food production. However, it is half of the journey. The other half is to make available produce either to the individual user as food or to industry as raw material for processing. Presently, in the process, significant quantity of produce is wasted in the country.
India, with deep traditional knowledge of farming and rich heritage of food processing, can become a food factory of the world. However, presently the contribution of India in the world agri-horti trade is negligible in comparison to even small countries.
