The College was established on 21 July 1965. foundation stone was laid by Shri Mohanlal Sukhadia, the then Chief Minister, Rajasthan on 16 April 1966 and Dr V K R V Rao, the then Minister for Education, India inaugurated this new building on 9 August 1969. We are running in the 47th year of serving the society. During this journey we have achieved various milestones in different fields.
The College is included in 2(f) and Section 12(B) in the UGC act and affiliated to Jai Narain Vyas Univesrity, Jodhpur, Rajasthan Technical University, Kota and Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur for different courses. The College has unique distinction of being first & only College in the Western Rajasthan which has been awarded 'A' grade by NAAC & Selected as ''College with potential for Excellence" by UGC. Lachoo College has been a Temple of learning for all most five decades.Since the inception, College have maintained high academic standard & have successfully provided trained manpower to the society. With modest strength of 65 students pursuing a single course B Sc. College has grown steadily & today boasts of having more than 2500 students from all over the country pursuing multi-disciplinary graduate & post-graduate programmes in the field of Science, Computer, Pharmacy, Biotechnology and Management affiliated to three different state universities.
