UPES has always been a preferred choice for the companies visiting campus because of its domain specific approach. The placements in 2011 went very well like previous years. Nearly 85% of students from 2011 batch are placed in more than 200 reputed national and international companies.

A close interaction between the Institute and various company executives has created excellent placement record for the upcoming 2012 batch as well. Our first placement week commenced from 10th October 2011 and in a span of one week, 23 reputed Indian companies as well as MNCs visited us who has a vast interest in the core domain to name a few like Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Reliance Industries Limited, Maruti Udyog Limited, Accenture, L& T, Gammon India Limited, E value serve, GVK & GMR Group etc. In a week's time, nearly 200 students from graduating batches received placement offers from these companies. A worldwide reputed consulting firm offered a salary package of Rs. 9.65 lacs pa to some of our student which is as of now highest. The average CTC across all other programs has also increased considerably. A good number of companies are confirmed to visit us during the 2nd placement week, in November 2011 and remarkable placements are expected to follow.

• Scholarship will be offered to students securing an aggregate of 85% marks in class 12th & 90% marks in PCM for B.Tech (all streams) in CBSE of ICSE Examination Board. Such scholarship will be limited to 5% seats in each B.Tech. Program.
• Scholarship will be given on the basis of Merit only.
• Continuation of Scholarship in the subsequent year will be as per the University policy.

UPES provides hostel facilities to its students on a 'first-come first-served basis'. Outstation students are given preference for these facilities. Two new blocks have recently been constructed and will be ready by the time the new batch arrives.

A separate reading room with latest magazines and newspapers has been provided in the hostel s for the students to catch up on current affairs during their free time.

In addition, UPES has also tied up with private hostels in the city, after necessary pre-screening, to offer appropriate accommodation outside the campus.

The University has canteen and cafeteria facilities on the campus, which offer all major regional cuisines apart from regular snacks. Students are encouraged to participate in running the hostel mess.
