Bhai Gurdas Institute of Engineering and Technology was set up in 2002 in the Heart of Green state , Punjab on the Sangrur-Patiala National Highway with lush green campus of 35 acres providing a peaceful environment ideal of learning. BGIET offers B. Tech degree courses under the approval of All India Council of Technical Education (Govt. of INDIA) and affiliation with Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.
Hostel - A home away from home
Ensuring the safety, security, and convenience of the student, BGIET provides boarding with all modern amenities to the boys and girls. Taking into consideration the requirements of the students five hostels namely Kalpana, Newton, Galileo, Kelvin, Einstein and Raman are established.
Auditorium and Conference Hall
Aesthetically built air conditioned Auditorium and Conference Hall Equipped with modern audio-visual aids with seating capacity of 500 and 200 respectively provide a platform for student activities.
Banking Facilities
BGIET has a branch of PNB that lends a hand to the students in money transaction ,withdrawing and depositing. It also offers educational loans to the students.
Library
The repository of the information to augment the information needs of students, institute has air conditioned, fully computerized library well stocked with over 16000 text and reference books. It has subscription to 130 National and International Journals, Magazines and E-Journals like IETL online ASE,DEL,ESDU etc. through INDEST-AICTE consortiums.
Shopping complex
A shopping complex has been designed keeping in view the day to day affairs of the students. This complex housed a book shop cum general store, juice corner, a Photostat/STD/PCO, laundry shop and barber shop that cater to the needs of the students.
Food court
BGIET cafeteria is well maintained and fully endowed to meet the culinary needs of the students, It offers refuge to the students weary of their strenuous and hectic academic schedule.
Gymnasium
BGIET has a gymnasium stocked with all the modern equipments where the students work out for keeping themselves hale and hearty.
