The college was started in the year 2001 with three branches of study, namely Computer Science, Electronics & Communication and Information Technology. In 2002, Electrical & Electronics was included. In 2004, Civil and Mechanical Engineering were added. At present, there are about 1450 students from across the length and breath of the country pursuing engineering under these departments. Srinivas Trust was founded with a singular aim to serve the society in the field of Education. The Trust is a non-profit organization, which runs quite successfully four institutions namely, Vickram College of Engineering, Vickram Polytechnic college, Vickram School of Teacher Training and Vickram College of Teacher Education.
