Anjamma Agi Reddy Engineering College for Women

Anjamma Agi Reddy College of Engineering for Women was started in 2010 by Mahaveer Education Society. The Society, under the stewardship of the Chairman Sri Sudarshan Reddy garu and ably supported by the Secretary Sri Surender Reddy garu, has more than a decade’s experience in managing the Mahaveer Institute of Science and Technology, which has joined the elite list of highly sought after institutions in the State. Having successfully transformed Mahaveer Institute of Science and Technology as a centre of excellence with several undergraduate and post graduate courses, the Management decided to establish a new engineering college for women. It is a proven fact that given an opportunity, women can equal men or even excel in any professional course. The new college has been aptly named after Anjamma and Agi Reddy, the parents of the Chairman and Secretary. The establishment of Anjamma Agi Reddy Engineering College for Women during the Academic Year 2010-11 heralded a bold step towards Women's Empowerment in the State Capital Hyderabad. The focus for providing Engineering Education for Women stems from considerations that women compete and excel very well both academically and professionally in various branches of Engineering. The college is located within the limits of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, well connected with APSRTC buses and metro rail service, and yet away from the noise and pollution of the metropolis. The college also runs its own buses from several points in the twin cities. The college is affiliated to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH) whose students have made their presence felt throughout the Globe by innovation and hard work.
