Pragati Institute of Education and Training (PIET) is devoted to the cause of preparing quality teachers for different stages of school education. Currently, it is running the Nursery Teachers Training Course (NTT) for two years' duration. The annual intake of the Institute is a batch of 50 students. The Institute is affiliated to the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Delhi, which conducts examinations and awards diplomas to the successful students. The Institute has a well-equipped library having over 3500 volumes on all subjects, manned by a full time professionally trained librarian. The library also subscribes to the a number of journals and magazines. 'ECE Teacher' is the annual magazine published by PIET.

Teaching is more about communication skills, as without it, a teacher cannot deliver any message properly to the students. PIET was established to impart training to teachers, making them well versed in their discipline and also in co-curricular activities. Since its establishment in 2005, PIET students have shown 100% success, bringing glory to the institute as well as their lives. All the students have found placement in the MCDs and private schools.
