The department of Information Technology came into being on the very day the college started on 29th August in the year 2000. The department has a team of qualified and experienced faculty members, state-of-the-art laboratories.
To maintain a strong industry-academia linkage, the department organizes campus connect courses for the students in regular intervals. At present companies like Cognizant, Infosys are conducting courses to enhance the technical skill of the students and to tune them in a suitable way before they step into the corporate world.

A Training and placement cell is functioning in the college for the benefit of the students. Though no guarantee can be given fro the placement of all the students, efforts are made to familiarize them with the working in industries. They are trained to present themselves in a manner to suitably expose their potential to prospective employers. While it may not be possible to change their trait and attitude altogether, major thrust will be to provide a finishing touch to their skill and knowledge.
