The Jeppiaar Educational Trust under the Chairmanship of Honourable Jeppiaar was formed in 1987 with the purpose of furthering Technical Education by establishing Engineering Colleges and Schools of Management Studies. Jeppiaar Engineering College is one of the institutions of Jeppiaar Educational Trust that was started on 15th August 2001 with affiliation to Anna University, Chennai. Though it is only 5 years since its inception, the college has grown considerably under the dynamic leadership of its Directors, Mr.N. Marie Wilson and Mrs. Regeena Wilson, Dr. Sushil Lal Das, is the energetic Principal of the college, spear heading all academic and non academic activities.
