The Electronics & Communication Engineering Department was established in 2004 and it offers B. Tech in Electronics & Communication from Gautam Buddha Technical University, Lucknow. The Department takes an intake of 180 students each year. Electronics and communication is that field of engineering whose basic knowledge has become essential for all branches of engineering, because it is applicable to all in one form or other as ICs, Gates, Diodes, Transistors, FET's, MOSFETs, Microprocessors etc. Keeping all this in the mind , the department provides the basic electronics devices to all engineering branches in the first two years to enhance their abilities regarding the Electronic Devices and their various operations. Other major courses of Electronics and Communication engineering are also offered to engineering students of different branches depending upon their requirements. The focus of Electronics and communication engineering is on understanding electronic networks and devices, electromagnetic field theory, computer fundamentals, as also their protection, and communication and control systems.
