The SSLD Varshney Girls Engineering College has been started by Shri Satyasai L.D. Varshney Educational Trust in the year 2009. This Trust is totally devoted to the upliftment of the downtrodden and weaker section of the society. This college is planned with the sole aim of imparting engineering education for girls only as no such facility exists in Aligarh and nearby places. Many parents wish to avail such facility in the dependable security for their daughters.

The college is located in a pollution and noise free environment at 13k.m. Aligarh-Kanpur, G.T. Road and is very conveniently connected with other parts of the region. The sole aim of the promoters was to provide quality education in the field of Engineering and technology to fulfill the aspirations of young and aspiring girl students not only in Aligarh but the entire Northern region. The College has the state of the art Computer Centre equipped with 75 Pentium IV Computers, advanced multimedia training methodology. The centre has Wi-Fi and Internet connection with 1 Mbps capacity. All the necessary softwares are available in the Centre. To name a few – Windows 98, Windows NT, Network, Linux, C, C++, Oracle etc. The students have full opportunity to develop their personality and communication skill though extra curricular and co-curricular activities through educational clubs, cultural socities and students councils.
