Placement Assistance
The Programme is meant to prepare scholars, teachers and professionals with doctoral education. The prospective organisations where Fellows might find challenging assignments include national level institutes of management offering post-graduate level courses in agri-business management and rural development management; national level development organisations; state and national level cooperatives; funding organisations and donors; and public policy research institutions. Six candidates from the first two batches have already joined prestigious Institutions in teaching positions.
Scholarship
Sir Ratan Tata Trust offers about five scholarships every year to second-year students based on merit. The scholarship covers a part of the fees during the second year, subject to a ceiling of Rs 50,000/-. The number and amount of the scholarship are approved by the trust on a year-to-year basis.
Educational Loan
Educational loans are available from various banks. The State Bank of India provides educational loans at a lower interest rate and without any collateral to candidates enrolling at IRMA.
Hostel Facility
The FPRM is a fully residential programme. Every participant is provided with a furnished single hostel room with computer and Internet connectivity. There is a furnished common reading room, which is also used for receiving guests of participants. The hostel has a boarding facility managed by an elected participants’ body. Limited housing facility is available for married participants; it is normally made available only from the beginning of the second year in the programme.
