The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering conducts research and teaching in the broad areas of Communication and electronics and related disciplines as per JNTU guidelines. It strives to contribute to the scientific and technological goals through teaching, research and industrial interaction. It is an active participant in many technological projects, seminars and industrial visits and is constantly in the process of providing a vision for future technological trends in the country. Nalanda Institute Of Engineering & Technology has established a full pledged training and placement cell (T and p cell) in order to impart training on soft skills, interview skills, communications skills, etc. to enable students to face the interviews confidently. The TP cell organizes regularly campus and off campus interviews to facilitate placements for students with reputed companies. Industrial visits are arranged in order to expose the students to industrial realities and practical applications of theoretical knowledge. The P cell also organizes summer training for a month to 3rd year students during vacation period so that the students can gain on hand practical training in industries to augment their technical confidence. The students are interacted with experienced personal from industry by arranging guest lectures.

NIET has well equipped and modern Separate Hostels for boys and girls. The girls Hostel is situated at Guntur .while the boys hostel is very near to the the campus, so that students can take small distence to come and return from college with ease. Girls Hostel can accommodate about 200 students while the Boys Hostel can accommodate about 300 students.
