Tamizhan College of Engineering and Technology (TCET), Tamizhan Nagar Chenbagaramanputhoor, was established in the year 2008 by Mr.K.ThiruKadaluthayam , as its Chairman and Mrs.D.Annie Sophia Rexline,B.A.,L.L.B as its Vice Chairman .The college is promoted by Ponkasi Uthayam Educational & Charitable Trust . The Chairman and Vice Chairman ventured into the realm of providing quality technical education to both urban and rural students. The college is functioning in a sprawling campus of 24 acres. The college buildings are architectural designed with 80,000 m2 plinth area. TCET is acclaimed throughout India for its quality in teaching and research. Being one of the largest engineering colleges in India it lays emphasis on innovative research, investment in high-quality facilities and first-rate infrastructure. By making use of the latest technologies and quality teaching, the college is able to offer a wide choice of interdisciplinary degrees in engineering. The college is affiliated to Anna University and is offering seven UG degree courses (Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering & Electronics and Communication Engineering) and one PG course (M.E – Applied Electronics). The college is located in a serene campus at chenbagaramanputhoor which is at a distance of 15 km from Nagercoil.
