South point Institute of Technology & Management (SITM) has been established under the patronage of the Mange Ram Educational & Charitable Trust to fulfill the vision of (Late) Sh. Mange Ram; with the objective of creating a center of excellence in the field of technical education at Sonepat. SITM is the epitome and vision of Mange Ram Educational & Charitable Trust. The Trust shall continue to strive in building institutions of academic brilliance and wishes to develop tools and programs designed to help industry, academia and government recruit, retain and develop technology leaders. By providing inclusive platforms designed to ensure ideas and spirits will result in higher levels of technical innovation.
SITM is approved by AICTE and DCRUST, Murthal (UGC Approved) to conduct four year degree course in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering and three years degree course in BBA. The institute is also running two years P.G. courses in M.B.A, M-Tech. (Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication).
The institute has state of the art laboratories, computer centers, library with excellent collection of books, international and national journals, and reading room, canteen and bank counter. The hostels are fully furnished with proper messing facilities and security and have resident wardens. For all round developments of the students and to give them opportunity of self expression, the institute organizes sports meets and cultural programmes in the campus and encourages students to take part in the events at inter-institute level. The institute takes pride in creating atmosphere conducive to students taking their studies seriously which is reflected in low absenteeism and high grades in university examinations. SITM emphasis is laid to correlate theory with practice, to broaden the student horizons in the professional field. For this, industrial visits and live interaction with successful entrepreneurs and senior executives are arranged on regular basis. In addition, teaching methodology has been upgraded by making use of latest technologies like digital smart boards in class rooms and Power Point Presentations.

To achieve on these aims, Department of Training & Placement has been established to promote in-plant training for producing great young Managers, Technocrats and Entrepreneurs. In order to guide the students about career options and to counsel them Department of Career Guidance & Counseling also has been established in the institute.
