Course Details
The Department offers Master of Social Work (MSW), M.Phil (Social Work) and Ph.D. (Social work) programmes. It aims to develop competent social work professionals who combine a strong theoretical foundation with a unique and sound practical experience. Students from different parts of the Country are admitted in MSW, M.Phil and Ph.D. programmes. Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations and Labour Laws is also being offered by the Department since 2010-2011.

There are 14 hostels operational and 5 new which will be ready for use this academic session onwards.
- The division of hostels is as follow:
- 1 for foreign nationals
- 4 for girls
- 9 for boys
- Of the new hostels which are being added:
- 3 will be for boys and remaining two for girls
