Placement Assistance
One of the main responsibilities of the Placement Cell is to motivate, train and prepare the students of the University and its affiliated Colleges for campus interviews. It plays a very important and key role in counselling and guiding the students of the University and its affiliated Colleges for their successful career placement, which is a crucial interface for the students between the stages of completion of academic programmes of studies and entry into suitable employment.
Scholarship
All the full time scholars admitted to the M.Phil and Ph.D. Programmes of the University will be eligible for a monthly fellowship of Rs.3000/- and Rs.5000/- respectively along with contingencies. Scholarships @ Rs.750/- p.m. are also available to all students of the M.Sc. Five year Integrated Programmes. In addition, Merit Scholarship , Merit cum Means Scholarships (Including Hindi and Sanskrit Scholarships ) and Free ships are available to deserving students of PG Degree programmes.

Hostel Facility
There are 14 hostels operational and 5 new which will be ready for use this academic session onwards.
- The division of hostels is as follow:
- 1 for foreign nationals
- 4 for girls
- 9 for boys
- Of the new hostels which are being added:
- 3 will be for boys and remaining two for girls
- Apart from residence facilities hostel also has provision for:
- Mess facilities
- Wi-Fi connectivity
- Transport facilities within the campus

Application form can be submitted online through the University Website www.pondiuni.edu.in send the hard copy (in A4 size) along with the original bank challan for the prescribed free.
For Application Form and Information Brochure, write to The Deputy Registrar (Academic 11) Pondicheery University, R.V. Nagar, Kalapat, Puducherry 605 014. along with a self addressed envelope of size 32cmx25cm , stamped for Rs.90/- Request for application form for admission".
APPLICATION FEE
For all courses Rs.100/- , Rs. 50/-for SC/ST, FREE of cost for physically and visually challenged candidates subject to submission of relevant certificates. Use separate applications for each programme. The application forms can also be obtained from the Pondicherry University Staff Co-operative Credit Society at the University campus on payment of the cost application form plus Rs.10/- as service charge. Selection will be based on entrance examination.
Reservations for OBS/SC/ST, Physically Challenged and Punducheery students will be applicable to the extent indicated in the information brochure.
