Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) is a three year degree course split over three years based on annual system of examination , leading to the degree of Bachelor of Computer Applications of the Himachal Pradesh University.

10+2
+ 2 examination under 10 + 2 system or examination equivalent thereto of a Board /University established by law of India with 50% marks (45% marks in case of Schedule Caste / Schedule) or Any examination of a University/ Board/College or School in Foreign country recognised as equivalent for the above purpose by the Vice-Chancellor /equivalence committee of its own or recommendations of Association of Indian universities with 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST)

The applications for BBA and BCA have to be submitted on prescribed performa separately for each seat and course. The seats counter price of Handbook on Information with application form is Rs. 200/- . The application forms can also be obtained by the post by sending a demand draft of Rs. 225/-and for those applying under non-subsidized category Rs.450/- on counter Rs. 475/- by post by sending a demand draft in the name of the Director, University College of Business Studies, H.P. University, Ava-Lodge, Shimla-171004.
