This is a 2-year, full-time degree programme. The duration can be modified in exceptional circumstances for sponsored candidates who may have institutional constraints such as a maximum permitted length of sabbatical or study leave.
The MA DLB degree requires completion of 12 courses (36 credits) over 4 semesters in 3 thematic areas of specialisation, viz. International Law, International Business and International Relations. 1 credit is calculated as equivalent to 1 hour of classroom instruction per week, per semester. All courses offered are worth 3 credits each, meaning that an MA DLB student can take a maximum of 4 full courses to earn 12 credits per semester.
Out of these 12, there will be 7 core courses spread over the first 2 semesters which are mandatory for all students. The remaining 5 elective courses can be chosen from a wider range of course offerings depending on the specialisation interests and career aspirations of students. These 5 courses involve combined faculty expertise from JSIA, JGBS and JGLS can be taken over the duration of 4 semesters in any order of sequencing.
