The academic year of 2006-07 has so far been phenomenal and unparalleled in the history of the industrial placement activities of SVNIT, Surat. The expectations from the first batch that had entered SVNIT through screening by consideration of scores of AIEEE 2003 (All India Engineering Entrance Exam) were high and the students proved their capabilities beyond doubt. The aforementioned year has seen a very encouraging number of students getting a placement offer on campus. A total of 324 students have got an industrial offer, which means that 105% of the students eligible have been placed. This is the highest figure reached by this institute yet.
