The Institute is running regular B.Tech. Program in Agricultural Engineering since the establishment of the Institute. Agricultural Engineering is a vast discipline in itself encompassing the application of different engineering sciences like Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Science in agriculture aiming at technological advancement of Indian agriculture. The Department aims at imparting quality education so as to equip the budding engineers with the latest engineering knowledge and skills to face any engineering problem in agriculture and related fields. The Departments is unique in having hiving highly qualified faculty with specialization in different disciplines of Agricultural Engineering. It is proposed to develop this department in such a manner that in addition to setting up high standards of education and training at undergraduate level, efforts are being made to support industrial R & D activities and technology transfer in thrust of Agricultural Engineering.
