The department of civil engineering is an emerging department and was started in the college in the academic year 2005-06 with an intake of 30 students per year. It aims to cater to the needs of society for qualified civil engineers with high standards of technical expertise and moral ethics. To fulfill this aim, the department is the fruit of the efforts of our former principal Dr V K R Jeyasingh and the Head of the department Mr S R Kannan .

    The Department has all the facilities required for conducting campus interviews. A large auditorium and an air-conditioned hall, Public address system, Computer system, Multimedia projector, High speed internet connection for faster communication are all available. Many reputed companies visit the college to conduct campus interviews. Our students also take part in Tamilnadu State Level Placement Program, Combined campus interviews, Job fairs etc. Students are also educated about the opportunities available in Public sector companies. Students were given practical training in COMMUNICATION SKILLS like Presentation Skills, G D Tehniques, Soft skills and Interview Skills
