The School Of Management through its flagship Master of Management (M.Mgmt) programme seeks to develop managers for an integrated understanding of all business functions. The rigorous curriculum of the Master of Management programme has a judicious blend of courses that provide an in-depth understanding of the operational and strategic aspects of management.

One unique feature of the program is that apart from the regular courses on Finance, Accounting, Operations and HR, SJM SOM prepares for technology management with core courses like Technology Policy, R&D Management and Managing technology transfer. SJMSOM has an annual on campus placement process, which is supervised by the Faculty Placement Coordinator and coordinated by the student elected Placement Committee. Every year, the process is streamlined as per convenience of students and recruiters. The placement process begins with Pre- Placement talks by companies, usually scheduled between the months of October and December. Elaborate slotting criteria is used to slot the companies for the placement process. The Pre Placement talks are followed by the Lateral Placement Process, which is tailor made for recruitment of students with prior work experience, and is immediately followed by the Final Placement Process.

Hostel Facility

The hostels are almost always abuzz with activity. The management students share the hostels with the undergraduates. There are a lot of inter-hostel competitions that one can participate in and contribute towards the hostel. These activities span the whole gamut from literary events to sports. The hostels have a reading room, a TV room, a gym and a computer room. Usually, every weekend, movies are shown at the auditorium that helps take one’s mind off after a busy week. Further, one can unwind by playing indoor games like Table Tennis, Chess or Carroms.
