Nadgir Institute of Engineering & Technology was started in the year 2004. The College is imparting, quality technical education to the students of Karnataka and other states of India. It is owned and managed by Nadgir Education Society , Bangalore. The College is a private, unaided, self-financed minority Institution, recognized by the Government of Karnataka, All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) - New Delhi, and is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum 590018, Karnataka.
