Department of Biotechnology has Biochemistry, Molecular biology, genetic engineering, Bioprocess, Microbiology and Instrumental Methods of Analysis Laboratories, well equipped with specialized equipments like computer controlled Fermentor, Micro filtration Unit, FTIR, ELISA Microplate reader with automatic washer, Fluorescent microscope with phase contrast and other attachments.

Candidates belonging to communities other than SC / ST should have passed the qualifying Examination within two attempts.
All candidates should have attended the Common Entrance Examinations conducted by Anna University (TNPCEE) or CET conducted by authorized agency.
Application and prospects can be obtained in person by payment of Rs.500/- or through postal order of DD drawn in favour St. Peters Engineering College. Application to the courses offered by the institute should be made on the prescribed application form. Instructions must be carefully read and strictly followed.
