Department of Civil Engineering was started with an annual intake of 60 students in 2002 and the intake has subsequently increased to 120 students during 2007. The Civil Engineering Department has Surveying lab, Strength of Materials lab, Fluid Machines & Machinery Lab, Soil Machines lab, Concrete lab, Engineering Materials Lab, CAD Lab.

Candidates belonging to communities other than SC / ST should have passed the qualifying Examination within two attempts. All candidates should have attended the Common Entrance Examinations conducted by Anna University (TNPCEE) or CET conducted by authorized agency. Application and prospects can be obtained in person by payment of Rs.500/- or through postal order of DD drawn in favour St. Peters Engineering College. Application to the courses offered by the institute should be made on the prescribed application form. Instructions must be carefully read and strictly followed.
