The Computer Science & Engineering Department was established in 1993 with a student intake of 60 and subsequently increased to 90. National Board of Accredition has given accredition for this programme for 3 years from July 2004. To impart practical knowledge to the students, the department provides Computer Practice Lab, Data Structures Lab, Object Oriented Programming Lab, Database Management and Systems Lab, System Software Lab, Operating Systems Lab, Compiler Lab, Networking Lab, Interest Programming Lab, Software Development Lab.

    Candidates belonging to communities other than SC / ST should have passed the qualifying Examination within two attempts. All candidates should have attended the Common Entrance Examinations conducted by Anna University (TNPCEE) or CET conducted by authorized agency. Application and prospects can be obtained in person by payment of Rs.500/- or through postal order of DD drawn in favour St. Peters Engineering College. Application to the courses offered by the institute should be made on the prescribed application form. Instructions must be carefully read and strictly followed.
