The yeoman service rendered by the Archdiocese of Verapoly in the field of education has an inspiring legacy spanning over centuries. The process of starting a number of religious and educational institutions was set in motion with the advent of the Carmelite missionaries in the seventeenth century and the move gathered momentum in course of time. The starting of St. Albert’s College in 1946, by the great educationist and visionary, His Grace the late Dr. Joseph Attipetty, as the natural corollary of the veteran St. Albert’s School, was a milestone in the educational progress of the City of Cochin (then known as the town of Ernakulam). The Albertian Institute of Management (AIM) is a welcome offshoot of the great educational heritage of the Archdiocese of Verapoly, now being heralded by His Grace Dr. Daniel Acharuparambil, the present Archbishop.

The Albertian Institute of Management (AIM), Approved by AICTE,is the newest venture of the St. Albert's College, Cochin. Affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala,and approved by AICTE, New Delhi, the institute offers full time Masters Programme in Management(MBA). Considering the phenomenal growth of the City of Cochin into a booming metropolis, its emergence as the unchallenged business and industrial capital of Kerala and the great influx of new industrial ventures into Cochin and its suburbs, a world of opportunities now unfolds before the young, well qualified business professionals. There is still a dearth of business schools that offer quality management education in Kerala. AIM is the end result of a determined move to step into this gap and give shape to a management school par excellence.
