Civil Engineering is the field that deals with buildings, bridges, dams, roads and other structures. Civil Engineers plan, design and supervise the construction of buildings, airports, water treatment centre and sanitation plants. The Department of civil Engineering was established in the year 2001 with the intake of 30 students and it was increased to 60 students from 2002 academic year onwards. The department is headed by Dr.S.Anne Ligoria. There are thirteen well trained and efficient faculties with postgraduate qualification and four non-teaching staff members. Two faculty members have registered for Ph.D. Programme at Anna University.
