Raghunath Girls’ Post Graduate College is the premier all women college of Western U.P.,Meerut, known for its high standards in teaching and research and attracts eminent scholars to its faculty. The college had a modest beginning as a school , with just five girl students . The Noble Mrs. Kripa Devi ,the wife of Late Lala Raguhnath Prasad Ji Raeesa, Patthar Walan, Meerut, sought to create trust in his name after his death, to promote education in the elementary and advanced levels, particularly for girls. A noble endeavor took shape on Feb.27th 1929, when Mrs. Kripa Devi formally announced the formation of the “Kripa Devi Trust Fund Society”. Ever since, there has been no looking back. That school progressed by leaps and bounds and over a period of more than eighty years, it has graduated into two distinct levels for imparting education at the secondary and the graduation / post graduation levels. That far-reaching vision is manifest in the successful establishment of Raghunath Girls Inter College & R.G. (P.G.) College.

The college blossomed & reached to new heights due to perseverance & hard work of all its learned Ex-Principals : Mrs. Lakshmi Sharma , Dr.Vimla Puri, Dr.Prabha Rastogi, Late (Dr.) Praveen Fatima Azeez & Dr.Madhu Mittal. The college functions under the supervision and guidance of College Management Committee which comprises of educationists and dignitaries of high rank like :the present Chairman, Dr. Satish Chandra(Ex-Chairman,U.G.C).Honorary Secretary Dr.Manmohan Nath & Dy. Secretary, Dr.Rahul Mittal . The present Principal is Dr. (Mrs.) Seema Jain . The college occupies a total land area of 2.95 acres and imparts education in four streams i.e. Arts, Science, Commerce and Education. The college runs 19 disciplines including three vocational courses & B.Ed. with all the three combination at graduate level, and PG level. Eleven departments have been approved for research.
