Invertis Institute of Management Studies, brainchild of a young entrepreneur Mr. Umesh Gautam, came into existence in July 1998. The rise from a modest 83 students to over 2000 students in 2007, has helped Invertis to be recognized as a hub of higher education in the region of Rohilkhand in Uttar Pradesh.
The Institute has two postgraduate programmes - MBA & MCA and two undergraduate programmes - BBA and BCA. The year 2005 saw the addition of Invertis Institute of Engineering and Technology to the Invertis Group. Four undergraduate programmes are offered at the IIET-B.Tech.(IT). B.Tech.(CS), B.Tech.(EC)., and B.Tech.(EI).
The Institute was rated as an A+ B-School in the B-School survey conducted by Business India in 2008 while it was rated first in the Rohilkhand Reion by "Indian Management Maagazine" the well-known Management Magazine in its December 2003, September 2004 and September 2005 issues. The rating was based on five counts namely Intellectual Capital, Admissions and Placements, Infrastructure, Industry Interface and Governance.
