An Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is an entry-level healthcare provider in the field of Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Many paramedics, doctors, nurses and firefighters have used their EMT education and experience as a stepping stone to new careers. EMTs have the knowledge and skills to provide emergency care and transportation of patients in a pre-hospital setting. Their skills are critical in attending to emergencies, accidents and disasters. VIVO conducts training programs for 10+2 students and healthcare providers to become EMT's.
The EMT program is a three level modular training program and can be completed within 12 months by 10+2 students. Those who have studied in the healthcare area or are working professionals have an advantage - they can skip the initial 2 months preparatory program.
