Vivekanand Education Society Institute of Technology (VESIT), Mumbai is one of Mumbai's premier engineering colleges and was founded in 1984.The campus is located in Chembur, a northern suburb of Mumbai, and stretches over a few acres of land.
The Institute of Technology shares the campus with the college of Arts and Sciences and the college for Diplomas in Engineering. The campus comprises one big U-shaped building, a football field and a canteen that is situated in the neighboring management college building.It was 13th August 1984 that Vivekanand Education Society received much awaited response from University of Bombay permitting it to start Institute of Technology
