Polytechnic is a technical course that teaches arts and sciences. It is basically teaches different professional courses that are technical and vocational in nature. Polytechnic courses usually have a three year duration, completion of which leads to a diploma in the concerned branch. The range of engineering and technical courses offered by the polytechnic include pharmacy, Civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics engineering and several other emerging branches of technology. The non- technological vocational courses include Fashion Designing, beauty culture, garment technology, library science, modern office practice, secretarial practice, stenography etc.

SRGI has five separate hostel blocks; one for the girls and four for the boys. They are equipped with all the amenities to make students’ life comfortable. Mess facility is available in a clean and hygienic environment. The menu is premeditated with the help of students and attempts to cater to the preferences of students.
