Amity University is a private university in India. Established by the non-profit Ritnand Balved Education Foundation in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, it has campuses in Noida, Lucknow, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Gwalior and Dubai. The university has an enrollment of over 100,000 students[1] in 240 Degree Programs.

The University of Delhi was established in 1922 as a unitary, teaching and residential university by an Act of the then Central Legislative Assembly.

In an effort to cope with this enormous expansion, the University in the early seventies initiated a new organizational pattern based on the multi-campus concept.
