Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences a Deemed University was granted this status by the University Grants Commission in 2005. Its Chancellor is Honble Shri Dattaji Meghe and its founder Vice-Chancellor is Dr. Ved Prakash Mishra. The Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute was started as a private Medical college in the year 1955 by Mysore Education Society. The Founders of this Society were Dr. R.
