The Guru Jambheshwar University Science & Technology, Hisar was established by an Act of Legislation of Haryana State on October 20th, 1995 to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education. It is named after Guru Jambheshwar, a saint, environmentalist of 15th century. The University has grown to its full size and stature within a short span of 8 years.

The Karnataka State Open University established on 1st June 1996 vide Karnataka Govt. Notification No. EDI/UOV/95 dated 12th February 1996 - KSOU Act 1992 is considered to be a reputed Open University amongst the open learning institutions in the country. Keeping in view the educational needs of our country, in general and state in particular the policies and programmes have been geared to cater to the needy.

Ranked 7th by Business Sphere in North India. An ISO 9001- 2000 Certified Institute Ranked as A+ by Business India Bharati Vidyapeeth University started functioning in April, 1996 after receiving communication from the Government of India granting of status of University under section of the UGC Act, 1996 to a cluster of institutions of Bharati Vidyapeeth, which is a parent organization of this University.
