SNDT Womens University is the first Womens university in India as well as in South-East Asia. The University was founded by Maharshi Dr. Dhondo Keshav Karve in 1916 for a noble cause of Womens Education. The first five women graduated in 1921 from this University. The University Headquarters is in Churchgate Campus, Mumbai and the other two campuses of this University are at Juhu, Mumbai and Karve Road, Pune.

The trust was established in 1991 by Smt. Rajwati Bhatnagar in the memory of her educationist husband late Dr.K.K.Bhatnagar. The Purpose of the Trust was to guide the energy of the youth of the country in the right direction. This aim could only be achieved by educating the youth.
