MAEERs, Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) was founded by Dr. Vishwanath D. An ISO 9001- 2000 Certified Institute Ranked as A+ by Business India Bharati Vidyapeeth University started functioning in April, 1996 after receiving communication from the Government of India granting of status of University under section of the UGC Act, 1996 to a cluster of institutions of Bharati Vidyapeeth, which is a parent organization of this University.
