SNDT Womens University is the first Womens university in India as well as in South-East Asia. The University was founded by Maharshi Dr. Dhondo Keshav Karve in 1916 for a noble cause of Womens Education. The first five women graduated in 1921 from this University. The University Headquarters is in Churchgate Campus, Mumbai and the other two campuses of this University are at Juhu, Mumbai and Karve Road, Pune.

The University of Mumbai (known earlier as University of Bombay) is one of the oldest and premier Universities in India. It was established in 1857 consequent upon "Woods Education Dispatch", and it is one amongst the first three Universities in India.

The School of Fashion Technology (SOFT) was established in 1998 under the aegis of 108 year old Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha (MKSSS), Pune, India in collaboration with National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), (Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India). The School of Fashion Technology (SOFT) initiated the 3-year bachelors degree curriculum with S.N.D.T. Womens University, an internationally recognized university with five-star N.A.A.C accreditation that certifies the degree.......
