Sri Jayachamarajendra college of Engineering was started as one in the galaxy of Technical Colleges in the year 1963, which was inaugurated by Dr.T.M.A.Pai, who was then the Chairman of the Academy of Education, Manipal, Mysore State. It was initially commissioned as a totally private college under the auspicies of the JSS Mahavidyapeetha, with the divine inspiration of His Holiness Jagadguru Dr.Sri Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamigalavaru of Suttur Math.

Amrita School of Engineering, Bangalore started in 2002 as "Amrita Institute of Technology & Science" with a vision to produce quality engineers with service attitude for the benefit of the society and nation. The school was conceived of as the grooming ground for future engineering professionals of India. Initially it had only three branches: Computer Science, Electronics & Communication and Information Technology. It was then affiliated to the Visveswaraiah Technological University, Belgum.

Vidyavardhaka Sangha (R) is a well-established Organisation in Mysore city committed to impart education to the downtrodden members of the society. Veterans like Late Sahukar Channaiah and Late K. Puttaswamy (Former Minister of Karnataka) established the Sangha during the year 1949. At present, the Sangha is under the able guidance of Sri. Gundappagowda, Hon. President and Shri. P. Viswanath, Hon. Secretary.
